  • Your goal (or goals), articulated in your own words

My revision process to get from a free draft to a formal draft changes from paper to paper. Sometimes, I need to make a lot more corrections than other times. For the narrative essay, I plan to organize my essay so that it flows more smoothly and has a better structure.

  • The steps you plan to take to achieve this goal (in order of priority)

First, I am going to review my peers’ notes. Then I am going to add my own thoughts on how to better structure this essay. I plan to possibly move some paragraphs around and make better claims at the beginning of each body / supporting paragraph.

  • What you see as your biggest challenge

I believe my biggest challenge will be claim sentences and transitions. This is always something I struggle with and I want to strive to make this essay easy to read without awkward paragraph structure or listing facts.

  • And what will you do if a challenge comes up that proves too difficult for you to solve on your own? In other words, what resources do you plan to use?

I know that I can always get advice through my professor by email or attending office hours. We also have our writing fellow, Emmy, who I can always rely on. Other than the resources provided for us, I could reach out to others and ask them to read over my paper and add any suggestions as to how I could make this paper flow or if something doesn’t sound right.
