Prepare for Transition

As I look ahead toward graduation, the NCLEX-RN exam, and my first job, I am both excited and nervous. At this point, I am just getting through this semester. It is mind-boggling to think that in just a few short months, I will be out of college and searching for my first job as a registered nurse. I am most excited for the security I will feel after completing college and passing my NCLEX-RN. Although this opens the door to a brand new chapter of my life, I will be able to say that I was successful in completing my studies and am officially an RN. I am anxious to begin work with so little experience. I tend to thrive in situations that I am used to and comfortable in. A brand new job that defines the start of my career is a big deal and I want to do well and thrive. I also want to provide the best care that I possibly can for my patients. There is a lot of pressure, but I am very excited to get started.

I will use SMART goals to stay on track over the course of this semester, and when it comes to passing the NCLEX-RN and applying for jobs. This will aid in staying focused and keeping not missing or forgetting assignments. Another way I achieve this is by using a calendar where I jot down all test days, due dates, clinical days, etc. This makes it much easier to stay on top of schoolwork, such as ATI assignments, and will help me get prepared for the NCLEX-RN. I am thankful for the Nurse Logic 2.0 Modules, as they will aid in my success with ATI assessments, as well as NCLEX-RN. After completing the modules and assessments and all other schoolwork for this semester, I plan to celebrate with family and friends.
